Meet Tanzania music legend Mr Nice on his career downfall, family, health status, controversies
MOSHI-(MaraviPost)–Mr. Nice is a Tanzanian born music legend who was the talk of East African music in the early 2000.
His real name is Lucas Mkenda. He is 70 years old. He was born in Moshi, Tanzania.
Mr. Nice went pro in 1999 when he released his album Kidali Po. In the year 2002 he released another album titled Rafiki. Some of his tracks are Fagilia, Kidali Po, Rafiki among others.
Mr. Nice went down and his music career was no where to be heard. Many controversies went around him.
Claims that he was HIV positive and being broke were everywhere.
However, he came out to deny all these claims publicly. He said that he wasn’t HIV positive and he could have died if he was since many people who contacted the disease had died long time ago.
He also rubbished the claims that he is broke when he publicly shared a video of himself near a Range Rover which he said he owns.
Once in an interview Mr. Nice said that he sometimes travels with the money in the car boot.
Mr. Nice has two daughters namely Leylah Mohamed and Nicole. He shared a photo of her grown daughter Leylah via his Facebook page. See the photo below
