Lazarus “Kadingus’ Chakwera listening Government theory another way of shunning responsibility
The listening Government theory that Lazarus “Kadingus” Chakwera is practicing has many Malawians question its effectiveness and so far, the results seems not to bold well for its future.
Many on social media have questioned the results as the popular post being shared reveals.
While I am in love with the “listening govt” theory, I foresee the rise of demonstrations and mob justice, division, and violence in Malawi because of the same theory. The peace we fought for [against DPP govt] and that we are enjoying [with Tonse alliance govt] will vanish because of the “listening govt” theory.
I know some handclappers will deliberately chose to disagree with me on this issue, however, remember that what looks so sweet kills many times. “The theory is especially important in a democratic govt like Malawi, it is the reason we fought against the one-party system. If the president or presidency fails to listen to the demand of his or its people you will say ngosamva, dictator. nanga inu a Tiwonge Kumwenda munakhalapo m ‘boma inu?” Some handclappers will say.
Yes, this is a good theory but let me tell you it is badness. 1. People will stop respecting and follow their constitution. If the so called listening govt start enforcing the laws, a certain group of people who are against that law will protest. Like what the motorbikes operators did yesterday in Lilongwe. They thought, “tikawonetsa kukwiya atisiya ndipo lamuloli siligwira ntchito. Simunawone mene azibusa anapangira muja? Or zinthu zambiri zomwe boma lasintha kamba ka social media?“
2. If govt fails to listen, the affected group will feel infringed, disrespected, or not favored. Thru the theory, govt will start creating its own enemies. And one day the affected group will protest or take laws into their own hands.
3. The theory brings division as a certain group of people will feel awo anawamvera bwanji? Ndekuti ife tilibe ntchito poti ndife osawuka or ampingo uwu?
The listening govt must listen to what the constitution says because it is the voice of all Malawians and it is the only thing that unites us as well as favors everyone. My father used to tell me “pa anzako 100 ngati 60 akuti ndiwe wabwino just know you’re not abide to your own principals. That’s why many hated Jesus.”
