Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) , have arrested 30-year-old James Kifo Muriuki who alleged dehumanised his wife, Charity Wairimu on May 16, 2020.
Reports revealed that the suspect ordered his wife to strip naked and tell him all the men she had slept with while he was away in Nairobi.
He later used a knife to push pepper, salt and super glue on his wife’s genitals when she hesitated before he lured her in the dead of the night to River Kathita.
According to Citizen Digital, the suspect committed the act while their three-year-old son was watching and it was the voice of the boy when screaming that alerted the neighbors who rescued the woman and rushed to the hospital.
The suspect has been arrested on Thursday morning after he was apprehended from his hideout at Kaningo in Kitui County by a combined team of DCI detectives from Special Crime Unit, DCI Tseikuru and DCI Tharaka South.
