Ivory Coast to issue 80 bln CFA synthetic instrument on Sept 12

ABIDJAN, Aug 31 (Reuters) – Ivory Coast will issue a 80 billion CFA-franc ($146.79 million) synthetic instrument, the West African nation’s first, on Sept. 12, to raise financing for its budget, the treasury of said on Thursday.

The instrument will comprise an assortment of treasury bonds and fungible treasury bonds of varying amounts, maturities and interest rates and will be sold to investors across the eight-nation CFA franc currency zone.
